Leadership Team

Rob Hale - President

Rob is an accomplished IT Executive with 22 years of hands on experience managing, delivering, and implementing large scale applications. In 1999, Rob founded ECommerce Systems, Inc. to focus on creating a consulting company that establishes successful delivery as a standard for doing business. Since those humble beginnings as an individual contributor to project success, ECS has now grown to 100+ staff working on numerous projects and key staffing initiatives in the IT business space.

Rob is very active on project and staffing requirements as well as providing guidance to customers to fully support their needs. He is actively involved on key ECS initiatives and is considered an industry expert when it comes to large scale, custom application development.

A 1988 Graduate of DeVry University in Phoenix, Rob currently resides in Parker, Colorado.  He has been married to his wife Beth for 16 years and has 2 daughters Rebekah and Alyssa.  Rob considers Colorado home and has lived there since 1988.
Erik Zeitlow - Vice President Operations and Delivery

Erik has over 20 years of experience in large-scale systems development and implementations for industry-leading companies including over 4 years on international assignments (Australia, Canada, Japan, Korea and Sweden).  During his career he has managed or participated in all systems development life cycles phases from proposal formulation through post-production support with an emphasis on software testing. He has over 10 years of experience in client management, project management and group leader roles, over 5 years of experience in business and technical team leader roles and over 5 years of experience in business analyst and programmer analyst roles.

In 2004, Erik left the international consulting firm CGI (formerly AMS) and founded zeITz Consulting, Inc. After starting out as a single independent consultant, he grew the company to nearly 20 consultants before folding operations into ECS in 2006. As VP of Operations and Delivery, he serves a dual role at ECS both helping ensure that ECS project teams and/or individual consultants delivers business value for ECS’s customers as well as being responsible for back-office contractual and financial matters for both customers and consultants.

A 1988 Graduate of DeVry University in Phoenix, Erik currently resides in Arvada, Colorado.  Both he and Jenny, his wife of 20 years, are natives of Colorado and have 2 teenage boys Blake and Dayne. Outside of the office, Erik is an avid runner having completed over 25 marathons in the past 10 years.
Kurt Kellner - Chief Technical Architect

Kurt is an accomplished Chief Technical Architect with 18 years of hands on experience designing, delivering, and implementing large scale applications. Kurt joined ECS as Chief Technical Architect and partner in 2000. Since then, he has designed and architected several SOA applications using both off the shelf foundation software as well as open source technologies.

He possesses both design and implementation skills with the ability to easily support strategic (C Level) and tactical (application developers) business demands. Kurt recently spoke on behalf of Oracle at OpenWorld on their Fusion Middleware software, presenting on easily deploying feature rich browser based web applications.

Kurt continues his hands on Architecture approach and is engaged with customers to fully support their project needs. He is actively involved on key ECS initiatives and is considered an industry expert in large scale, high availability, mission critical application development. He currently resides in Littleton Colorado and is a Colorado native!

Christine Myers – Chief Financial Officer

Christine has over 25 years of experience managing various accounting departments and as an IT Project Manager installing numerous accounting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications.

Christine’s first job out of college was traveling the country as a consultant installing hospital accounting software applications. Christine obtained her MBA and CPA while working as Controller in the oil industry and at an internet startup company. Christine then landed at Dow Chemical working for both the CFO and CIO as an IT Project Manager for SAP, Sebel, Cognos, and Biotech Laboratory Information Management Systems. Christine was the first employee at DOW to obtain her PMP credentials.

Christine has an undergraduate degree in Economics with minor in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota and a MBA-Accounting emphasis from the University of St Thomas, St Paul Minnesota. Christine is a licensed CPA in the state of Minnesota. Christine left Dow Chemical after falling in love with Colorado in 2000 where she and her husband of 25 years are avid campers and hikers.

 

Tim Dahltorp – Chief Operations Officer

Originally from the Chicago area, Tim started his career as a commercial banker and worked in Chicago in that role for 10 years.  Tim and his family moved to Colorado in 1997 after a four-year stint in Manhattan as the CFO of a music distribution company.
 
Since moving to Denver, Tim has had a number of C-Level roles with companies both private and public, in various industries including financial services, biotechnology, transportation, commercial real estate, entertainment and professional services.  In fact, he became acquainted with ECS while serving as EVP of Strategy and Corporate Development, Director, and CIO of a larger ECS client from 2007 to 2008.

When Tim is not working you will find him hanging out with his wife Karen of 29 years and their two children, or on the golf course.  He also enjoys hiking, camping, scuba diving and a good bottle of wine.

Joined ECS November, 2007

While at ECS I've had the opportunity to meet folks who, I feel, are some of the best developers, business analysts, and project management staff in the industry. I enjoy the opportunities that ECS affords me and it would be difficult to imagine a better group of people with which to work. I have learned about many different verticals, including Debt Management, Human Health Care, Animal Health and Lab Research, and Alternative Dispute Resolution and I look forward to many more interesting engagements to come.
